You’re a single man, committed to no one but yourself. You can party all night and sleep until noon if you want to with no one telling you what to do. It’s a great being a bachelor, and why shouldn’t it be?
In this day and age, there is no real social pressure to get married when you’re young. No sex before marriage is now an outdated tradition that most men and women never stick to (unless religious), and people are waiting until much later in life to get married, anyway.
However, some men put themselves under immense pressure to try and find the girl of their dreams with the hope of settling down. Is it the fear of being lonely? Is it because all your friends have partners, so you want one? Do you want regular sex and feel that a girlfriend will solve this problem? Only you can answer these questions.
There could be thousands of reasons why men should stay single but I have only listed the ones that stand out. For those that are undecided, here are a few reasons for staying single.
Each Night Is Your Own
For single men, every night is a guy’s night out. Men that are in a serious relationship have to compromise and can’t always do what they want to do. Dinner with her friends, shopping, visiting the in-laws are all things men in relationships are forced to do (whether he likes it or not). Being single means you can make spur-of-the-moment plans without having to answer to anyone.
You Can Spend More Time With Friends
When you’re single you can hang out with your friends whenever you want. You can stay out late and sleep in till whatever time. When you’re in a serious relationship, you won’t see your friends as often and may even lose contact. Remember, friends are for life, not just when you’re single!
You Can Do What You Want, When You Want
When you’re single you can go anywhere you want, do anything you want at any time you want without anyone stopping you or nagging. You can go on holiday with friends, party all night and find lots of time for your personal interests and hobbies. Once you’re in a serious relationship she will expect you to discuss any plans you have with her first.
Everything Is Yours, Not Ours
When you’re single you can organise your bachelor pad just the way you like it. No candles and scatter cushions, no women’s clothes and shoes. There’s half as much clutter to clean up and you can clean only when you feel like it. The only rules of the house to follow are yours.
You Can Focus On Your Career
Relationships require a lot of time and energy. If you’re single you will have extra time to enjoy the opportunity to build your career. You remain free to work extra hours, study courses, work on weekends or do whatever you need to do to be successful.
You Can Build Wealth
Being single means you don’t have to regularly spend money on flowers, jewellery and other gifts. You can spend all the money in your paycheck however you wish to spend it. You can take this money and save it or invest it in important things like lad’s holidays, fast sports cars or buying that bachelor pad you’ve always wanted.
You Can Have More Sexual Partners
One of the best reasons for staying single is that you’re not stuck with the same sex partner. Regular sex may seem great in a relationship, but having the same sex partner can soon get boring, especially if she isn’t willing to experiment and spice things up. Getting laid for single men is always exciting, as it’s always a surprise. When you’re in a serious relationship, you always know what you’re getting. In fact, a lot of men wish they had sex with more women before they got married.

Men in serious relationships sometimes lose their sense of who they are in a relationship. You also have more time to develop yourself and become a better man, meaning you will attract more women.

Some men fear being single and are willing to continue in an unhealthy relationship for the wrong reasons, for example, all their friends are in relationships, they’ve reached a certain age or they fall for the first woman that shows an interest. When you’re single you have more time to date lots of women, have sex with lots of women and maybe find a woman that you love. If you get married it’s for a lifetime so set your standards high and make sure you’re happy.
